INTRODUCTION

The Sabah Pharmacy Enforcement Branch is a program under the Pharmaceutical Services Division, Sabah Health Department.

Objective

To ensure the importation, manufacture, sale, supply, management, and use of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and healthcare products are conducted in accordance to existing national law

LEGISLATION

The Pharmacy Enforcement Branch enforces the following Act;

Poison Act 1952 (Revised-1989) and its Regulations.
bullet

Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 (Revised-1980) and its Regulations.
bullet

Sale of Drug Act 1952 (Revised-2000) and its Regulations.
bullet

Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 and its Regulations.
bullet

Registration of Pharmacists Act 1951 and its Regulations. (Not Extended to Sabah)
